A tranquil and peaceful location

Cairn Meadow Pods is set on a small family run site at the foot of the Pennines and at the edge of the beautiful Eden Valley

The pods sit around a natural pond and there is a river nearby too.

You can sit and relax (with perhaps a glass or two of wine) and enjoy getting away from it all!

The local pub called The Pheasant is a 20 minute walk (or a couple of minutes by car) and does serve meals as well as traditional ales. Meal times can vary depending on the time of year.

• Eden Valley
• Solway Coast
• Carlisle - the Border City

In the local vicinity we have Talkin Tarn - a large natural tarn that also has play areas for children, a coffee shop and facilities for paddleboarding and boating.

There are three golf clubs nearby - Carlisle GC, Brampton GC and Eden GC.

The market town of Brampton is a short drive away and contains a typical selection of retail and convenience shops, pubs and takeaways.

There are a number of real ale pubs in the surrounding area. They all serve food at weekend, and a number serve food both during the week and during the day.

Close by is Hayton Farm Shop and Swimming Pool - the farm shop not only sells produce and gifts but also serves light and main meals. The swimming pool is a relatively new facility that can be booked for personal hire but is very popular so you may need to book in advance.

If you fancy some birdwatching (and the ones nearby are not enough) then Geltsdale RSPB reserve is also nearby.
